We keep the wording on our product pages simple, but some terms deserve a closer look. Here is how we define the details that often cause confusion.
We list the thread count as stated by our fabric supplier. Counts above 600 are rare in percale, so if you see a higher number on another label, check the weave first. A crisp percale at 400 can outperform a loosely woven sateen at 800.
Our fitted sheets are cut for mattresses up to 40 cm deep. If your mattress is thicker, measure from the top seam to the bottom edge before ordering. The elasticated hem runs the full perimeter, so the sheet stays put on most pillow-top beds.
When we say linen blend, we mean 55% linen and 45% cotton. Pure linen is available for duvet covers on request, but the blend gives you the same breathability with less creasing and a softer hand feel from the first wash.
Our colour names describe the dye lot, not a precise shade. Dusty blue can vary slightly between batches because we use low-impact dyes. If you are matching an existing set, order swatches first rather than relying on screen colours.
Guesthouses and boutique hotels order through our wholesale channel, which has separate minimums and lead times. The direct-to-consumer range is cut in smaller batches and ships faster. The two lines do not share stock, so availability can differ.
Our fabric suppliers hold OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification for the raw material. This covers the textile itself, not the finished sewing process. We do not apply chemical finishes after cutting, so the certification carries through to the final product.
Standard pillowcases fit 50 x 75 cm pillows, while queen size fits 50 x 90 cm. If your pillows are non-standard, measure the insert before choosing. We do not offer custom pillowcase sizes at the moment, but the fabric width allows us to adjust the opening on request for wholesale orders.

Percale has a plain, one-over-one-under weave that gives it a crisp, matte finish. It breathes more freely than sateen, which makes it a good choice if you sleep warm or live in a climate with humid summers. The fabric softens after a few washes, but it keeps that dry, cool hand rather than becoming silky.
Measure from the top surface of the mattress down to the bottom edge, including the padding. Most of our fitted sheets suit mattresses up to 40 cm deep. If your mattress is thicker, check the product notes for the exact pocket depth before ordering, as a sheet that is too shallow will keep slipping off the corner.
Not necessarily. Thread count matters, but the fibre length and the weave matter more. A 400-thread-count percale made from long-staple cotton can feel crisper and last longer than a 1000-count sheet made from short fibres that are tightly twisted to inflate the number. We list the weave and the cotton type on every product page so you can compare fairly.
Wash linen on a gentle cycle at 30 or 40 degrees and skip fabric softener, which coats the fibres and makes them feel stiff. Hang it to dry or use a low tumble setting, then take it out while it is still slightly damp. Linen gets softer with every wash, so do not be surprised if the first few nights feel a bit textured.
