Quick answers to common questions about thread count, sizing and care: Read the FAQ

Order Notes and Clarifications

A few practical points about how we process orders, measure sizes, and describe our bedding. Reading through these before you check out helps avoid surprises later.

Thread Count and Weave

We list thread count on every product page, but it is only one part of the story. A 400-thread-count percale can feel crisper and sleep cooler than a higher-count sateen, because the weave and fibre length matter more than the number alone. Our percale is made with combed cotton and a plain weave; our sateen uses a similar fibre but a different construction for a smoother hand feel. If you are unsure which suits you, the thread-count guide on the product pages explains the difference in plain terms.

Fitted Sheet Depth

Fitted sheets are labelled by mattress depth, not just bed size. Our deep pocket sheets fit mattresses up to 40 cm, and the elasticated hem runs the full perimeter so the sheet stays put on pillow-top and extra-thick mattresses. If your mattress is deeper than 40 cm, measure before ordering; a standard pocket sheet will not hold securely on a thicker base.

Colour Representation

We photograph every batch under natural light, but screen settings can shift how a colour looks. The dusty blue and warm sand tones in our range are dyed in small runs, so there can be a slight variation between batches. This is normal for natural fibres and does not affect the weave or durability. If you are matching a specific room, order a pillowcase first to confirm the shade in your own light.

Wholesale Orders

Guesthouses and boutique hotels order through a separate process from the direct-to-consumer range. Wholesale pricing, minimum quantities, and delivery timelines are handled individually, and the fabric options may differ from what is listed on the retail pages. If you run an accommodation business, contact us before placing a bulk order so we can confirm availability and lead times.

Care Instructions

Every item includes a sewn-in care label, but the short version is this: wash percale and sateen at 40 degrees, and linen at 30 degrees. Skip fabric softener on linen; it coats the fibres and stops them from softening naturally. Tumble dry on low and remove while slightly damp. Following these steps keeps the fabric breathable and extends its life.

Order Processing

Each batch is cut and sewn at our Johannesburg studio, so orders are not pulled from a warehouse shelf. This means a short lead time before dispatch, usually two to three working days. We confirm the timeline by email once your order is placed, and we will let you know if anything in your order is delayed.
